Sakhalin-I On-Shore Processing Facility (OPF), Russia
The Sakhalin-I Project has been developed within the framework of a product sharing agreement signed between the consortium formed by Russian, Indian, Japanese and U.S. companies and Russia. The agreement which took effect in 1996 covers the Chayvo, Odoptu and Arkutun-Dagi fields where the potential recoverable resources are 307 million tonnes of oil and 485 billion cubic meters of natural gas.

ENKA was awarded the contract for the installation of mechanical and piping systems by Fluor Daniel Eurasia Inc., and Exxon Neftegas Limited for the Sakhalin I, On-Shore Processing Facility in May 2005.

The mechanical and piping systems works for Sakhalin I OPF were completed by ENKA by the end of October 2006, two months earlier than the scheduled completion date. The scope of works included the erection and installation of compressors, generators, heat exchangers, boilers, pumps and sludge catchers as well as the erection of 30,000 tonnes of pre-fabricated modules weighing between 900 and 2,500 tonnes, 2,200 tonnes of structural steel and 32,000 m of piping, including fitting, welding, pressure testing, painting and insulation works. At the Sakhalin-I OPF project, 750 personnel, including 60 administrative and 60 technical staff were employed and a total of 2.8 million man-hours were spent without any Lost Time Incident (LTI).
