İstanbul Metro, Turkey
İstanbul’s underground transportation network was deferred until the early 1990s although designs had been in place for decades. Following the 1992 decision to construct the first line between Taksim and Levent, ENKA, and its joint venture partners, signed the contract with the İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality for Stage I, Section II.

The project entailed the construction of a 10,250 m metro tunnel and three stations, each with 180 m platforms. The "New Austrian Tunnel Method" was employed in the construction of the tunnels. The project was completed in 1998.
