As part of ENKA’s commitment, with its joint venture partner Bechtel, in the Tengiz Oil Field, the Second Generation Project (SGP) is set to be the world's largest single-train sour crude processing facility stretching over a kilometer and covering an area of 264,000 sqm. SGP production facilities are designed to collect and process well fluids to produce stabilized crude oil, saleable gas and elemental sulfur. Senimdi Kurylys LLP is the general contractor, responsible for works including 96,000 cubic meters of concrete, 12,000 tonnes of pipe fabrication and erection, 31,000 tonnes of steel erection, 2,600 km of cable laying as well as the installation of 57,000 instruments and 1,300 pieces of equipment.
Without any lost-time accidents during a continuous period of 18,194,385 hours in 2006, the company has achieved on the SGP project a world beating safety record, recognized as ''best in class'' performance by the client, Tengizchevroil (TCO). The Second Generation Project is scheduled to be completed in 2009. |
