At ENKA, employees are our most important stakeholders. The necessary standards and procedures are identified, and measures are taken, in order to ensure that ENKA employees benefit from a safe and peaceful working environment.

Equality of opportunity is observed in all human resources activities including hiring, training and development, promotion and pay. We oppose all forms of discrimination, including those based on race, religion, language, skin color, sex, and sexual orientation.

The ENKA Code of Business Conduct states the points that all employees should bear in mind in order to work harmoniously, respectful of one another and of human rights.

Diversity and Inclusion

Diversity and inclusion are embedded in our core value of teamwork. Our workforce comprises skilled professionals and craft personnel from around the world who are dedicated to achieving excellence for all of our stakeholders. ENKA’s goal is to sustain its diverse workforce by leveraging each individual’s knowledge and talents while promoting cross-cultural understanding and collaboration.

To this end, you are expected to demonstrate dignity and respect for all ENKA employees by valuing the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and ideas present among your colleagues and in the locations where our company operates. You must also promote an inclusive work environment by practicing appropriate and fair behaviors towards all ENKA employees, clients, and individuals in our communities.

Fair Employment Practices

ENKA has established global standards so that our employees are treated with respect and fairness and free from all forms of discrimination regardless of location. All employment decisions such as hiring, promotion, pay, termination, training opportunities and job assignments must be based on merit, not a person’s legally protected characteristics. Such characteristics may include gender, race, color, religion, national origin, marital status, age, disability, pregnancy, veteran status, sexual orientation and other characteristics protected by law.

ENKA respects the human rights set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and abides by the conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO).

Harassment-Free Workplace

Harassment has no place at ENKA and will not be tolerated. Our employees should work in a safe and professional atmosphere, where merit and competence are rewarded, and diversity and trust are promoted. Harassment can take many forms, including verbal remarks, physical advances or visual displays. It may come from co-workers, supervisors, suppliers, contractors or clients. The legal definition of harassment may vary by location, but the behavior always has the purpose or effect of creating an intimidating, offensive or demeaning environment.

Employee Personnel Information

For personnel, payroll, health care benefits and other routine operations, ENKA maintains and uses private and sensitive personal information about employees (such as personal contact information, identification numbers, resumes and compensation data) for legitimate business purposes on EPS. You must follow all applicable data privacy laws and ENKA’s policies and practices regarding the handling of such information. You also must respect information privacy by only accessing and sharing confidential employee data for legitimate business purposes, with appropriate authorization, and on a need-to-know basis. Do not repeat or discuss this information with anyone who does not have an authorized business need to know it.

No Child or Forced Labour or Human Trafficking

Our belief that all individuals should be treated with dignity and respect is firmly rooted in our core value of integrity. ENKA is committed to fostering an environment that recognizes and supports all aspects and dimensions of human rights set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. ENKA does not tolerate the use of child or forced labor, trafficking in persons, or procurement of commercial sex acts. You must work to ensure that ENKA does not have suppliers, contractors or other business partners who do so.

EMPLOYEE LOYALTY

ENKA carries out work on employee loyalty and satisfaction in order to increase employee satisfaction at ENKA Headquarters and in all its operations, to receive feedback and views from employees and to ensure that employees take a more active position in decision-making mechanisms.

Actions based on the outcome of the Employee Loyalty and Satisfaction Survey are carried out under the leadership of the Corporate Integrity and Human Resources Departments. There are also plans to establish an Employee Loyalty Committee that includes employees’ representatives among its members.
