The project encompasses the construction of a 112.4 km dual-carriageway motorway, divided into three sectors, extending from Pojate and the A1 motorway, through Kruševac, to Preljina in the north of Čačak.
As of September 2025, the project has completed 52.4 million m³ of excavation, 22.1 million m³ of fill, 785,000 m³ of concrete works, 1.5 million m³ of sub-base, and 920,000 tons of asphalt. To date, a total of 57.8 km of motorway has been opened to traffic. More than 3,800 employees, including subcontractors, are currently working on the project.
The remaining part of the project between Vrnjačka Banja and Preljina is progressing rapidly. In 2025, BEJV plans to open 13.8 km of motorway from the Vrnjačka Banja Interchange to the Vrba Interchange, alongside substantial progress in Sector 3.To realize this plan, paving and finishing crews are working in parallel across Sectors 2 and 3, ensuring that progress advances on multiple fronts simultaneously.
Since the start of the project, a total of 12.25 million person-hours have been achieved without any lost time incident (LTI), while 48 million person-hours have been worked in total.
