Health and Safety Management at ENKA starts with the commitment of our executive management. It is regarded as a value from top to bottom within all of ENKA and competent H&S teams take part at every step of the work activities. H&S Management at ENKA comes in the form of proactive and reactive approaches. Combination of these approaches ensures total coverage of all steps of this Management System.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text]

RISK ASSESSMENT<\/h2><\/div>

Proactive approach starts with determining, assessing and managing risks. Preliminary Risk Assessments, Job Hazard Analyses and task-based meetings are the main components of ENKA H&S risk management, while the identified measures as a result of risk assessments are used to prevent incidents. We as ENKA, believe every accident can be prevented with the right mindset, accurate planning and effective actions in place. This is why every activity at ENKA is evaluated with its associated risks and furthermore; respective procedures are developed according to these analyses. We maintain our \u201cZero Accident\u201d target in all our operations because ALL ACCIDENTS ARE PREVENTABLE, and that our people, and our stakeholders shall strive to reach this target. Our leadership believes that nothing can veer our people and our stakeholders off this course, and strongly supports and recognizes their efforts and initiatives to hit this target.<\/p>\n

To achieve ENKA\u2019s ultimate goal of \u201cZero Accident\u201d:<\/p>\n

  • A strong commitment is demonstrated by ENKA Leadership by \u201cwalking the talk\u201d and \u201csetting example\u201d<\/li>\n
  • Effective and relevant HSSE training program packages are established immediately upon mobilization to the projects<\/li>\n
  • Proactive HSSE programs that focus on \u201cpeople\u201d and \u201cenvironment\u201d are adopted<\/li>\n

    WE BELIEVE IN TRAINING<\/h2><\/div>

    We believe that a well-established training system is vital to convey ENKA H&S System to the workforce, which is essential for applicability of our H&S Management System. We have determined the following requirements to be essential for our training system;<\/p>\n

    • To have a competent training organization,<\/li>\n
    • To have a detailed training program,<\/li>\n
    • To have adequate and fit for purpose training facilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Training system that fulfills these 3 requirements, combined with strong procedure backbone helps us achieve \u201cTarget Zero\u201d. With this belief, more than 7 million man-hours of detailed, technical and job-specific trainings have been given across all of ENKA in the last 10 years.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text]

      COMMUNICATION<\/h2><\/div>

To be able to engage with our employees at all levels, we use different communication techniques and interact with our workforce in their native tongue to overcome any language barriers.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″]

      SUBCONTRACTOR MANAGEMENT<\/h2><\/div>

      We do not separate our subcontractors from our own employees.\u00a0 We apply the same set of H&S standards that we hold ourselves accountable to, and expect them to comply with them as well.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”fadeIn”][vc_column]

      HSE PERFORMACE<\/h2><\/div>
      <\/span><\/div><\/div>
      <\/div>[vc_column_text]Health and Safety Performance of our projects are monitored very closely in terms of proactive and reactive parameters. Our projects are regularly audited by Corporate HSE Department as well as auditing institutions and the results of these audits are evaluated by project and corporate management.<\/p>\n

      Incident investigation and reporting is essential part of our Management System to prevent further incidents. For this purpose all incidents are closely and thoroughly investigated to determine their root causes. Following the investigation process, \u201cLessons Learnt\u201d from the incident are developed and shared with all ENKA Organization to ensure necessary precautions are taken.<\/p>\n

      The experience we have gained and lessons we have learnt from previous incidents has culminated in determining of ENKA 12 Life Critical Activites. Risks associated with these activites are expected to be managed effectively.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text]
