Protecting our home planet and reducing our environmental impact are among our top priorities at ENKA. On World Environment Day, June 5th, we celebrate this commitment across the locations where we are operating, emphasizing our dedication to all stakeholders and aiming to raise awareness among younger generations. This year, on World Environment Day, as part of the activities organized by the Kırklareli Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, we had the opportunity to meet with students from various primary schools in the city. During the event, after providing a brief training session on sustainability, recycling, and zero-waste approaches, we organized different activities to emphasize reducing plastic usage and waste segregation. Additionally, all participating students signed their names to a pledge for environmental protection prepared under the slogan “A Sustainable World is Possible”. ENKA will honour these students by planting a tree in their name during our next afforestation event, gifting them each with a tree as a token of appreciation.
