As ENKA, we place great importance on preserving humanity’s shared heritage and passing it on to future generations. We are pleased to share that an important milestone has been reached in the restoration we support of the North Building of the Sebasteion temple complex in the Ancient City of Aphrodisias, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Through the meticulous work of expert teams, marble architectural elements have been repaired, connecting elements renewed, and the structure reinforced. Columns and superstructure elements have been returned to their original positions, restoring the Sebasteion to a sturdier form that is more faithful to its ancient architectural arrangement.
Now included in the ancient city’s tour route and open to the public, the Sebasteion offers visitors the opportunity to experience up close the architecture of this nearly two-thousand-year-old monument and the restoration process.
We are pleased to contribute to this valuable effort to carry the legacy of the past into the future.
