This year, June 5, World Environment Day, will be celebrated with the theme of “Beat Plastic Pollution” in order to draw attention to plastic pollution on our planet. More than 400 million tons of plastic are produced each year, half of which is designed to be used only once, and about 10% of this amount can be recycled. Most of the generated plastic waste accumulates in lakes, rivers and seas and poses a great threat to our planet. As ENKA, we reduce the use of plastic as much as possible in our projects and subsidiaries. We recycle our plastic waste generated as a result of our activities to a great extent, according to the waste management hierarchy. In this way, we are trying to protect our planet against plastic pollution.
