The Bechtel-ENKA team of the Corridor 8 and Corridor 10d in North Macedonia helped the Crisis Management Center (CMC) this month by providing an excavator a trained operator to stop a branch of a large forest fire that threatened a military facility in the vicinity of village of Chelopeci, near Kicevo. The excavator was required to widen the access road, creating a clearing around the army venue intended to help prevent nearby fires from spreading inside the zone of the military facility, where army ammunition is stored.
Bechtel-ENKA, also, deployed its equipment from the route of Corridor 8 in Section 2, to contain and suppress the fire in the immediate vicinity of the sheepfold in the village of Banjica, Gostivar Municipality.
CMC representatives expressed their unequivocal gratitude for Bechtel-ENKA’s prompt action in response to preventing a greater catastrophe.
