In our Shotton Paper Mill project in the UK, one of our employees performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for nearly 20 minutes during a non-work related, unexpected cardiac arrest incident, helping save a person’s life until emergency services arrived. This remarkable act once again reminded us of the vital importance of first aid knowledge and its power to save lives.
Our employee humbly declined the award we planned to present, instead suggesting that it be turned into a donation to a local children’s hospital. As ENKA, we deeply appreciate this inspiring gesture and are proud to have made the donation on his behalf.
Our commitment to occupational health and safety, as well as social responsibility, is not limited to our projects — it continues to have a positive impact on the lives of the communities we are proudly a part of.
