ENKA has been operating in various regions of Kazakhstan since 1993 and it contributes directly to the social and economic development of these regions with its local employment policy and local procurement practices.
In addition to the social and economic positive effects created by its activities, ENKA evaluates the needs and expectations of the local communities in the region to create social investment opportunities in areas where it may have a positive impact. In this context, in March, volleyball tournament and afforestation event which were organized in honour of March 8th, International Women’s Day in Kulsary, Kazakhstan, were sponsored. Besides, in order to prevent spring flooding of the Embi River, which affects Kulsary and the two villages nearby, flood prevention works were carried out in line with the requests of the local communities.
