As a part of sustainability practices, “Rainwater Recycling” project developed by ENKA TC, was put into practice at Kapitoly Outlet Shopping Center in St. Petersburg in June 2018.
Within the scope of the project, rainwater that was collected in an area of 1400 m2 at the roof, was stored in storage tanks, and then discharged to 8 visitor toilets. In 6 months period, 95 tons of rainwater was used in toilets. Thanks to this project, 17% of the 6-month water consumption was provided from rainwater, saving the natural water resources.
