
Sheremetyevo Airport Terminal D Building, one of the global busiest airports, designed and constructed by ENKA between the years of 2005-2009 in Moscow, Russian Federation.
The terminal building with the height of 38.5 m consists of a 6-storey reinforced concrete building. The footprint of the building is 52,000 m2 and a total construction area is more than 170,000 m2. The terminal includes an apron area of 374,000 m2, a multi-storey parking for 4,100 lots, a control tower, 12 fixed passenger bridges and other external facilities. The terminal has 22 jetways and 11 remote stands. The basis for the architectural and artistic image of the terminal is that of a giant swan with outstretched wings. The terminal has an annual capacity of 12 million passengers and the first flight from the terminal departed on 15 November 2009.
