The Bazian II Combined Cycle Power Plant Conversion Project reached 21% overall progress under its engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) scope as of mid-September.
As part of the construction work breakdown structure (WBS), mechanical works represent one of the project’s most significant and labor-intensive scopes, with progress currently at 7% through safe and well-coordinated execution.
Steel erection for the first of two HRSGs has been successfully completed, while erection of the 40-fan W-Frame ACC steel structure and bundles has progressed alongside the installation of major heavy-tonnage structural steel components. The structural steel erection for the Steam Turbine Building, which will house one of the essential components of the combined cycle configuration, is nearing completion.
