ENKA makes progress at Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Plant in England — one of the UK’s major energy infrastructure projects.
ENKA signed a contract with Arabelle Services Ltd. in 2021 for the prefabrication and erection of piping systems for the conventional power islands of two 1,600 MW units. In 2024, we secured an additional contract covering design verification, material procurement and thermal insulation installation for piping systems and equipment within the turbine hall.
In 2025, Unit 1 preassembly commenced in May 2025, followed by permanent works in June.
As of September 2026, progress on Unit 1 prefabrication and erection works stood at 27%, while Unit 2 prefabrication reached 74%.
The power plant is expected to supply approximately 7% of the UK’s electricity demand, providing reliable, zero-carbon power, strengthening energy security and supporting the country’s transition to a low-carbon energy system.
