Albanian motorway designed and constructed by ENKA – BECHTEL joint-venture is 60 km four-lane modern motorway stretching from the town of Rrëshen in the middle of the country up to the northeastern village of Kalimash, in an extremely challenging environment.
The project comprised 20 Millions m³ of rock excavation and filling, construction of 5.5 kilometer twin-bore tunnels and 29 bridges has has employed 3,750 people during peak times, two-thirds being local nationals.
The project has achieved 7.000.000 man-hours without LTI.
