As ENKA, we are proud to announce that the Bazian II Power Plant Conversion Project successfully achieved 1 million person-hours without any lost time incident on June 5, 2026. This significant milestone reflects the commitment, teamwork, and shared sense of responsibility demonstrated by the project team throughout the project, while also highlighting our strong safety culture and disciplined approach to work. We sincerely thank all team members who contributed to this achievement and remain committed to maintaining the same high standards of safety and performance as we continue to move forward toward future successes.
The Bazian II Power Plant Conversion Project is a strategic infrastructure investment that significantly increases the region’s power generation capacity and elevates energy efficiency to an advanced level by converting the existing simple cycle natural gas power plant into a combined cycle plant. By enabling significantly higher electricity generation from the same fuel input, this conversion directly contributes to meeting the growing energy demand of Northern Iraq and strengthening regional energy security. For ENKA, Bazian II represents one of the latest milestones in our decades-long engineering, procurement, and construction activities in Northern Iraq, standing as a concrete testament to our company’s long-standing commitment to the region’s infrastructure development.
