Çimtaş Precision Machining acquired its first National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (Nadcap) approval for its NDT FPI Process in January 2019.
Nadcap is an industry-managed approach to conformity assessment of ’’special processes’’, which that brings together technical experts from prime contractors, suppliers and government representatives to work together and establish approval criteria for suppliers using a standardized approach. Unlike traditional third-party programs, Nadcap approval is granted by industry consensus.
Hardly any company ever passes Nadcap audits with zero findings. There are always minor findings to rectify. However, Çimtaş has passed the Nadcap audit for its Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) process with zero findings on the very first attempt.
In the upcoming months, Çimtaş shall continue to undergo additional Nadcap audits for accreditation in all its special processes on the path to becoming a prominent supplier in the aerospace industry.
