Following the assessment of the relevant procedures implemented at our Head Office and sampling of our site practices at the Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Plant project in the United Kingdom, where we carry out Turbine Island piping prefabrication and erection, as well as insulation and painting works, ENKA has achieved the ISO 19443 Nuclear Sector Quality Management System certification. With this certification, the compliance of our quality management system for the nuclear sector with international standards has been officially recognized.
The ISO 19443 standard, which is based on ISO 9001 and includes additional requirements specific to the nuclear energy sector, aims to strengthen the safety culture within organizations operating in the nuclear supply chain and ensure the effective management of items and services important to nuclear safety (ITNS).
