On June 3, 2025, ENKA participated in the North West Hydrogen Alliance (NWHA) meeting at the University of Manchester, presenting a corporate overview and an update on procurement progress for the Low Carbon Hydrogen Production Plant (HPP1) project.
The meeting, led by the NWHA Chair, also featured expert insights on regional energy planning, industry developments, hydrogen’s expanding role, and local net zero and decarbonization strategies.
Earlier this year, on January 15, ENKA signed a contract with Essar Energy Transition Hydrogen for the UK’s leading large-scale HPP1 project at Stanlow Refinery in North West England. Situated within the HyNet industrial decarbonization cluster, the plant will be the nation’s first of its kind, with a 350MW capacity and an expected annual CO₂ capture of around 600,000 tonnes.
