The ENKA Kırklareli Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant, with an installed capacity of 852 MW and fully financed by ENKA’s own resources, has successfully completed its acceptance tests conducted by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources as of 26 March 2026, and contributes significantly to Türkiye’s dependable and sustainable generation capacity.
Over the 36-month period from project commencement to first firing, approximately 8 million person-hours of work were completed.
Located in Kırklareli, the power plant utilizes advanced combined cycle technology featuring the GE 9HA.02 gas turbine—one of the world’s highest-capacity and most advanced gas turbines. This configuration enables highly efficient, low-emission, reliable, and flexible power generation. Operating at full capacity, the plant is expected to meet the annual electricity consumption of approximately 2.5 million households.
All engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities of the plant have been carried out by ENKA’s own resources and highly qualified teams. The facility will be operated by ENKA’s in-house operation and maintenance team, in accordance with the company’s commitment to the highest standards of occupational health and safety, information security, and environmental compliance, as well as its objectives to enhance energy efficiency and to strengthen long-term environmental and economic sustainability. This investment clearly demonstrates ENKA’s strong engineering capabilities, integrated project management expertise, and long-term vision for sustainable energy solutions.
