ENKA Kırklareli Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. undertook the construction of the Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant in Kırklareli, Türkiye, as its own investment in November 2022.
A major milestone in the commissioning process was the Ministry of Energy’s official acceptance of the GE 9HA (590 MW) gas turbine in February 2026, one of the world’s highest-capacity turbines, confirming its technical compliance and readiness for safe and sustainable operation under international standards.
Engineering, construction, procurement, commissioning, and operations are carried out using ENKA’s own resources. ENKA has delivered numerous large-scale energy projects worldwide on a turnkey EPC basis and is globally recognized for its reliability, engineering strength, and operational excellence.
With the commissioning of the steam turbine, the plant’s total installed capacity will reach 890 MW, strengthening Türkiye’s electricity grid with reliable base-load generation, improved grid stability, operational flexibility during peak demand, and efficient low-emission power generation.
ENKA’s proven EPC and operation & maintenance capabilities, combined with the advanced technology and high efficiency of GE 9HA gas turbines, provide a sustainable, high-performance contribution to Türkiye’s energy infrastructure.
