Significant progress has been made in the construction of the Kırklareli Natural Gas CCPP, undertaken by ENKA Kırklareli Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. as its own investment. When completed, the plant will have a capacity to generate 850 MW of electricity using natural gas.
As of July 2025, 98% of the detailed design works have been completed. The installations including the gas turbine, steam turbine, heat recovery steam generator, air-cooled condenser, gas metering station, distributed control system, transformers and switchyard have been finalized, while commissioning activities are ongoing. The progress of testing and commissioning works has reached 35%.
Civil and structural works at the site have achieved 90% completion, with the power plant scheduled to be commissioned by the end of 2025.
