In all of its projects, ENKA-Bechtel JV establishes procedures to be followed when encountering cultural heritage or archaeological remains and raises awareness among its employees through training. This ensures that if any remains are encountered, the necessary protection and reporting processes are followed.
At the Morava Corridor Motorway Project, our project team witnessed another remarkable archaeological discovery! During the work carried out on our project, an impressive sword, discovered at a depth of approximately 3.5-4 meters, is believed to date back to the Medieval period according to the archaeologist who examined it.
This find follows a previous discovery on the site – a 3,000-year-old ancient bronze sword, which is now proudly displayed at the Kruševac National Museum, thanks to the project’s sponsorship.
As ENKA-Bechtel JV, we are deeply proud of our unwavering commitment to preserving historical heritage while shaping the future, embodying our profound respect for history and our dedication to both heritage and innovation.
