Senimdi Kurylys LLP (a joint venture between ENKA and Bechtel), which continues to undertake projects in Tengiz, Kazakhstan, was awarded the certificate of recognition for its food safety practices and performance at the “World Food Safety Day” forum organized by Tengizchevroil. Since 1993, ENKA and Bechtel have been awarded and carried out an extensive range of assignments in the western region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. As part of the Bechtel-ENKA Joint Venture, ENKA has executed several major projects including the Debottlenecking Project and the Program 12, Tank Farm and Train 5 projects. All these have helped to develop the existing production capacity and to increase the capacity of the oil field. Prior to August 2008, ENKA and Bechtel also carried out the Second-Generation Plant and Sour Gas Injection projects for the Tengizchevroil. Currently, ENKA and Bechtel JV is carrying out mechanical, electrical and instrumentation installation works for the Third Generation Project, the part of TCO’s Future Growth Project which is developed primarily to increase the oil and gas production capacity of the Tengiz Oil Field.
