We are working in line with ENKA Sustainability Goals to create a sustainable future and to take stronger and more decisive steps in the fight against climate change. One of the steps we have taken within the scope of these efforts is renewable energy investments. We are about to add a new one to our solar energy investments across the ENKA Group, which we started with ENKA Kocaeli Schools. We are pleased to announce a solar panel application project at the Çimtaş Steel facilities in Gemlik. Currently, the preparations are underway on circa 51,000 m2 area where the solar power plant will be installed and the project is planned to be completed by December 2022 and to be operational before the end of the year. The plant will consist of 10,458 x 545 Wp/Module panels and is expected to have a DC power of 5,700.00 kWp and an AC power of 4,600.00 kWe, and with this installed power, the plant is expected to meet 50% of the facility’s total electricity needs from solar energy.
