The West Qurna I Produced Water Facility project, which ENKA started in October 2019, in the Basra region of Iraq, aims to treat effluent water coming with crude oil from reservoir and separated in upstream oil treatment facilities.
Oil in produced water stream is recovered while produced water is treated to a grade suitable for reinjection to reservoir.
This project, which will provide important visible benefits such as the protection of water resources and the continuity of oil production, will also have comprehensive outputs such as the precedent filter technology used, being an innovative and pioneering application in its geography and training qualified ENKA engineers in the oil and natural gas plant sector.
