The hypermarket and retail centre is located in Novosibirsk, a recognized Siberian capital 4,000 km away from Moscow. The total area of the complex is 49,200 m2 and the project was completed by ENKA at the first quarter of 2008 as scheduled.
The retail centre covers 4 floors, included an underground floor for car park. The area of the open car park was 3,500 m2. In addition to the hypermarket and the shops, the centre included comprehensive facilities to serve the various needs of the residents of Novosibirsk during shopping, such as cinemas, a fast-food center and a children’s park. Due to severe climatic conditions in Siberia during winters, a wide range of protective methods were applied for the construction process, such as thermos technology, using anti-freeze additives and hardeners, formwork heating, preliminary heating of the concrete mix and circumferential electrical heating.
