
In Section 1, substantial progress has been made in the construction of the accommodation camp. Furthermore, work continues on the production of precast culvert segments, overpass piles, foundations, and piers are ongoing as part of the construction of the structure.
In Section 2, earthworks continue with excavation and embankment along the motorway route, drilling & blasting operations, and the transportation of material excavated from these operations to stockpile areas. Slope protection operations and the construction of temporary facilities are also in progress. Additionally, work on river crossing culverts, bridge piles, foundations, and piers continues as part of the structural construction, while drilling operations advance as part of the geotechnical works.
In Section 4, earthworks are underway, including excavation, drilling, and blasting operations, along with the transportation of materials obtained from these operations for use in the construction of temporary facilities. Additionally, assembly and foundation works for accommodation camp buildings, the commissioning of equipment as part of the concrete batching plant installation, and drilling operations in quarries as part of geotechnical works are ongoing.
Within the scope of the traffic management plan for the construction of the motorway route, improvement and development on the diversion route have been completed. The traffic will be diverted to this road shortly, allowing construction on the motorway route to begin.
Throughout Section 4, the identification and clearance of materials defined as unexploded ordnance by the North Macedonian authorities at the project area is ongoing.
As of the end of September 2024, the project achieved the highest number of 573 days and 1,964,779 person-hours without a lost time incident.
