The Morava Corridor Motorway project of Bechtel-ENKA JV which will connect Central Serbia and Pan-European Corridors 10 and 11, is making rapid progress. The project is 112.4 km dual-carriageway motorway comprising three sectors, from Pojate and the A1 through Kruševac and up into Preljina in the north of Čačak.
In 2024, the Morava Corridor Motorway Project opened 30 km section of the motorway from Kosevi to Vrnjacka Banja and extended the total length of the opened section to 57.8 km.
Work on the remaining section between Vrnjačka Banja and Preljina is progressing swiftly, with an expected acceleration once the winter season ends.
As of March 2025, a total of 49.1 million m³ of excavation, 20 million m³ of fill, 705,000 m³ of concrete, 1.05 million m³ of sub-base, and 670,000 tons of asphalt works were completed. Over 3,700 employees, including subcontractors, are actively contributing to the successful progress of the project.
A total of 12.25 million person-hours were achieved without any lost time incident (LTI) whilst 43 million person-hours had been worked since the start of the project.
