ENKA QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The ENKA Quality Management System serves as a framework that encompasses the organizational structure, corporate policies and procedures, processes, and resources necessary to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality project completion.

A. MEHMET TARA

CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND PRESIDENT

ENKA is dedicated to continually improve the effectiveness of its quality management system by leveraging various factors. These include ENKA’s strategic direction, corporate quality policy, quality goals and objectives, the context of the organization, the needs and expectations of the interested parties, utilization of process risk analyses, an internal audit program, monitoring and measurement of process performance, data analysis, a corrective action program, and regular management reviews on quality.

ENKA’s Quality Management System fully aligns with the requirements of ISO 9001 and obtained certification for the first time in 2001 from the British Standards Institution (BSI).

In addition to ISO Certification, ENKA’s Quality Assurance Program, which is essential for implementing construction works involving engineering-design, procurement, quality control, contracting, fabrication, or installation, in line with  international standards, also complies with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boilers and Pressure Vessels Code. Consequently, it received certification for the first time in 2013 from ASME.

ENKA ACADEMY

ENKA recognizes that the growth and development of its employees is crucial for its continuous success and growth. Individuals who possess the necessary knowledge and qualities in their respective fields of work are highly valued.

With this in mind, ENKA established the ENKA Academy. The primary purpose of the Academy is to provide ENKA employees with valuable opportunities to enhance their competencies and support the company’s goals through continuous improvement, which is an integral aspect of our quality management system.

The ENKA Academy is specifically designed to foster professional competencies, process awareness, technical knowledge and skills, social skills, leadership and management capabilities of our employees.

The curriculum of the Academy includes a wide range of trainings, seminars, conferences, and workshops. These learning experiences are delivered by ENKA employees or professionals with whom ENKA collaborates.

INTERNAL AUDIT

ENKA places great importance on maintaining its corporate processes and activities within a continuously evolving, integrated, and systematic structure. To achieve this, ENKA regularly reviews its processes and conducts audits and evaluations to ensure their relevance and effectiveness.

In this context, regular audits and evaluations are conducted to systematically assess the performance, compliance, integrity, and effectiveness of ENKA’s processes and activities. These assessments are conducted in accordance with the requirements of international management systems, the company’s quality standards, corporate policies and procedures, relevant legislation, and labor laws.

We conduct internal audits within the framework of a scheduled audit program. The primary objectives of these audits are to identify potential risks, contribute to ongoing process improvement, and identify areas for improvement.

RISK MANAGEMENT

ENKA prioritizes risk management in all of its processes and activities, emphasizing the importance of adopting a risk-based approach throughout the organization. Senior management at ENKA continually encourages the habit of risk-based thinking.

To ensure the effective implementation of a risk management program, ENKA has established necessary mechanisms and implemented related procedures. This program is designed to determine the principles and methods on which risk management is based, foster a corporate culture of risk management that extends to all projects, units, and individuals, as well as effectively carry out the risk management function.

At each stage of the work, ENKA conducts a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of quality-related risks. We carefully consider the relevant risk definitions, as well as factors such as risk impact and probability. Our approach includes identifying appropriate risk reduction methods and establishing a risk distribution structure to effectively address these risks.

ORGANIZATIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND LIBRARY

ENKA has implemented a robust system of corporate knowledge to enhance the effectiveness of its existing processes, ensure consistent quality of products and services across all locations, institutionalize the wealth of experience gained since its establishment, foster its corporate culture, and provide clarity on working rules and methods. This valuable knowledge is readily accessible to all employees through an electronic library. The electronic library platform (EDMS) grants employees access to a wide range of international publications, magazines, and resources, empowering them with valuable insights and information.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

ENKA places great emphasis on customer focus and feedback, as highlighted in the first article of our Corporate Quality Policy. We prioritize ensuring lasting customer satisfaction and fostering sustainable relationships with our clients.

From the initial stages, even before a contract is signed, ENKA values the perspectives and expectations of our customers. We work collaboratively with them to identify project requirements and establish indicators that enable us to monitor whether these requirements are being met.

Throughout the project duration, ENKA maintains a regular flow of communication with our customers, providing them with timely and transparent information about the quality achieved. By doing so, we aim to address any concerns or doubts that may arise and maintain confidence in the quality of the delivered product.

As part of ENKA’s customer-oriented approach to business, we actively conduct customer satisfaction surveys upon the completion of projects. We consider these surveys as crucial mechanisms for gathering stakeholder feedback. The survey results are treated as valuable data, used to improve process performance, update systems, and formulate action plans. We view this practice as essential for continuously enhancing our operations and ensuring that we meet and exceed customer expectations.

FIELD CONSTRUCTION QUALITY

ENKA is committed to attaining the desired quality in construction by employing established process procedures, skilled personnel, thorough planning, efficient budget management, effective resource allocation, seamless communication, proactive risk management, efficient stakeholder engagement, proper equipment and tools, up-to-date project drawings and specifications, adherence to applicable codes and standards, diligent supervision, as well as sound construction methods, techniques, and practices.

To ensure the achievement of construction quality, ENKA employs various measures, including quality control, audits, inspections, surveillance, and rigorous testing and monitoring of business activities. These practices are implemented to verify and validate the quality of our construction processes and outcomes.
