Corridors 8 & 10d Motorway Project

Within the scope of the Corridors 8 & 10d Motorway project undertaken by the ENKA-Bechtel JV in North Macedonia, topographical survey and geotechnical investigation works are proceeding at a rapid pace, with concurrent advancements in clearing and excavation on the geotechnical investigation roads. Construction works and the design process are progressing concurrently. The advancement of geotechnical works and the outcomes of ground investigations play a vital role in enhancing the design process.

In Sections 1 and 2A, approval for the urban plan has been obtained, access to public parcels has been provided and the construction of associated works has commenced.

In Section 4, approval processes are currently underway, and work on public parcels will commence upon approval. Subsequent to the employer completing expropriation works on ongoing private parcels, works are anticipated to commence on private parcels in Sections 1, 2, and 4.

On September 12, 2023, in Section 2, a significant milestone in the project was marked with the inaugural blasting ceremony with the participation of important figures from the Government of North Macedonia.The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Transport and Communications, and senior executives of the Bechtel-ENKA team.
