On June 26, 2026, the Morava Corridor Motorway Project of ENKA-Bechtel JV (BEJV) opened 28.7 km section of the motorway from Adrani to Preljina and extended the total length of the opened section to 100.3 km! The Morava Corridor Motorway, a 112.4-km dual-carriageway motorway, including 32 km of river regulation works and 22 km dyke, designed for speeds up to 130 km/h, runs along the West Morava River valley, strategically connecting central Serbia to Pan-European Corridors 10 and 11. This new section completes roughly 90% of the 112.4-km and is estimated to reduce travel times by half, which will accelerate the flow of people and goods, resulting in economic growth and increased investment. The motorway is not only a catalyst for economic growth, but also an opportunity for local communities to develop new skills and grow their businesses. The first six sections of the project have now been successfully completed, with the coordinated efforts of over 2,200 pieces of equipment, 4,000 personnel, and 2,000 vendors and subcontractors, all following BEJV’s safety and quality standards.
Another significant milestone achieved by the project is a powerful testament to the dedication, professionalism, and constant vigilance of project team — 18 million person-hours completed without a Lost Time Incident (LTI).
