We would like to share with you the latest developments regarding the work on Sustainability which we started in conjunction with the Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy in March 2017, and which will last 18 months.
Sustainability Committee
A sustainability committee has been established consisting of high-level executives of ENKA Group Companies. The committee has met three times since April. Its task will be to manage the sustainability efforts and to represent the company in sustainability-related platforms.

Sustainability Policy and Sustainability Strategy
Following gap analysis, surveys, and stakeholder meetings conducted with a total of 266 individuals including employees, suppliers, distributors, clients and representatives of civil society organisations, a sustainability policy and a draft sustainability strategy document have been drawn up in keeping with the company’s fields of work and strategic direction. The file will be presented to the top management in August. The documents will then be finalised and published within the ENKA Group.

Sustainability Awareness Training in ENKA Schools
Sustainability and professional development training will be provided for 130 teachers at the ENKA Adapazarı Schools on August 15th and for representatives from the ENKA İstanbul, Adapazarı and Gebze Schools on August 21st-22nd.

ENKA Sustainability Logo
A decision has been made on the logo to be used for our Sustainability project. The concepts that make up the four Pillars of the ENKA Sustainability Strategy constituted the starting point for the design of the logo, and it gives a strong message about how important these concepts are for all the company’s stakeholders for a sustainable future. We hope that you will like our logo too.

ENKA Employee Loyalty and Satisfaction Survey
This survey is one of the first actions which we have decided to take in the scope of our Sustainability policy. It will be conducted in September 2017 in conjunction with the Willis Towers Watson company. By means of this survey, we aim to measure the degree of satisfaction of our employees, who are our foremost stakeholders, and to identify our opportunity areas for enhancing their performance.
Please express your views about our company and your work clearly when taking the survey. This will be of great value when it comes to determining our development areas and ensuring improvements in these areas.
The completed survey forms will be retained on the database of Willis Towers Watson. The results will be analysed and the views of all the company employees will be incorporated in the general survey results. The confidentiality of the responses of each individual participant are guaranteed by Willis Towers Watson in accordance with international confidentiality standards.
You will also receive separate, detailed e-mail messages containing information about the survey.
