Construction work has begun on Moscow’s new Metropolis multipurpose office and retail complex, on the Leningradskoe Road, one of Moscow’s main thoroughfares.
Metropolis will take up 330,000 m² in total and will have a retail and entertainment area of 215,000 m² and three office buildings covering 115,000 m². Two office buildings, 40,000 m² in all, will open in the fourth quarter of 2007. A third, 40,000 m², office building and a retail area should be completed in the second quarter of 2008.
Capital Partners, known on the market for its Ritz Carlton Hotel, is the developer of the project, and the Turkish construction company ENKA has been chosen as the general contractor.
