KALIMASH Tunnel, one of the biggest sections of Rreshen-Kalimash Motorway that Bechtel-ENKA JV is constructing has been opened with a ceremony with the attendance of the Prime Minister of Albania, Mr. Sali Berisa.
The tunnel is 6 km in length and is located on the 57th km of the Motorway which shall be on operation in 2009 and shall decrease the traveling duration form Albania to Kosovo from 6 to 2.5 hours.
It is one of the most important projects in the Balkans due to its strategic importance in connecting Albania to Macedonia and to the Trans-Europe Network.
