Project Description

ENKA completed the construction work, steel structure fabrication and erection work for 3×210 MW units of coal fired Kemerköy Thermal Power Plant in 1985. The construction work included mainly Boiler, Turbine and Bunker Buildings, coal supply system, water supply and treatment system, 380 kV and 154 kV switchyard, ash and slag handling system and other auxiliary and service buildings. Construction of a 135 m. long pier on steel piles, 16 km highway connection, housing colony, ash and clean water dams and offshore sea water intake were also part of the contract. The stack within ash and slag handling system is 300 m high and was constructed by sliding forms.
