In Section 1, the construction of the accommodation camp is ongoing, including both building assembly and infrastructure construction.
In Section 2, earthworks have commenced, including excavation, drilling-blasting and transportation of the materials obtained from these operations to Section 1. Additionally, excavation–filling for the construction of the crusher plant, as well as for the highway route, are underway.
The construction of bridge piles and bridge foundations are ongoing within the scope of the construction of structures. The concrete batch plant in the section has also been put into use.
In Section 4, earthworks have commenced, including excavation, drilling – blasting and the transportation of materials obtained from these operations to be used in the construction of temporary facilities. Additionally, earthworks for the accommodation camp and concrete batch plant have also begun.
Improvements and development of the road to which traffic will be diverted have started as part of the traffic management plan for the highway construction.
Throughout Section 4, in cooperation with the North Macedonian authorities, the identification and clearance of materials defined as Unexploded Ordnance within the project area are ongoing.
As of the end of July 2024, the highest number of 511 days and 1,368,637 person-hours without a lost time incident were reached on the project.
