
The construction of the Kırklareli Natural Gas CCPP, undertaken by ENKA Kırklareli Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. as its own investment, is progressing significantly. When completed, the plant will have a capacity to generate 850 MW of electricity using natural gas.
As of May 2025, the detailed design is 97% complete. The installations including the air-cooled condenser, gas metering station, distributed control system, transformers and switchyard have been completed, with commissioning activities currently underway. Additionally, the gas turbine installation is 94% complete, the steam turbine installation stands at 89%, and the heat recovery steam generator installation has been finalized. The progress of testing and commissioning works has reached 24%.
Civil and structural works at the site have achieved 85% completion, with the power plant scheduled to be commissioned by the end of 2025.
