As of August 2023, the Morava Corridor Motorway Project of ENKA-Bechtel JV located in the West Morava Region of Serbia with a 112 km length from Preljina to Pojate, is progressing rapidly all over the alignment.
On 29 April 2023, the 16.5 km section of the project, was opened to the public. The target is to complete an additional 11 km by the end of 2023, thereby extending the length of the opened section to 27.5 km.
Currently, over 3,700 employees are working with a superior effort for a wide range of work. A total of 33.8 million m3 of excavation, 13.5 million m3 of fill, 435 thousand m3 of concreting, 380 thousand m3 of subbase installation and 240 thousand tons of asphalt installation works have been completed.
In Sector 2 and Sector 3, earthworks, drainage, and structures are progressing contemporaneously and subgrade works have also started in Sector 2.
Bechtel-ENKA JV provides ES&H and quality trainings to all personnel working on the project according to the requirements of different disciplines.
A total of 4,260,425 person-hours and 125 days had been worked without any lost time incident (LTI) on the project as of 31 July 2023.
