The Morava Corridor Motorway project of ENKA-Bechtel JV is progressing rapidly. This 112 km dual-carriageway motorway will connect Central Serbia with Pan-European Corridors 10 and 11, consisting of three sectors, from Pojate and the A1 through Kruševac and up into Preljina in the north of Čačak. In 2023, Sector 1 of the project, spanning 27.5 km from Pojate to Kosevi, was opened to traffic, establishing a vital link between the city of Kruševac and the Pan-European Transport Corridor 10 Motorway and enhancing connectivity in the region. In Sector 2, all activities are progressing, aiming to open 30 km and extend the motorway to the Vrnjačka Banja Interchange by the end of 2024. As of September 2024, the project has completed 45.2 million m³ of excavation, 18.5 million m³ of fill, 645,000 m³ of concrete, 840,000 m³ of sub-base and 485,000 tons of asphalt works. Over 3,900 employees including subcontractors are working on the project. A total of 12.25 million person-hours have been completed without any lost time incidents (LTI) while 36 million person-hours have been worked since the start of the project.
