As of mid-August 2024, the project has achieved 58% progress and 2 million person-hours of work without any lost time incidents.
The erection of the ball mill, one of the most critical pieces of equipment of the project, has commenced.
Additionally, the project successfully completed 148 piping and 25 electrical tie-in connections to the existing plant units during the local isolation and plant-wide shutdowns.
The planned shutdown works were successfully completed in July 2024. During the shutdown, ENKA completed the necessary tie-in connections, and the plant was brought back into operation without any delays.
The Oyu Tolgoi Underground Project is a major development focused on accessing and mining one of the world’s largest copper deposits. As ENKA, we, along with our local workforce and international specialists, are making a significant contribution to bringing this vision to life. We’re not just working on an underground mine project – we’re building bridges across cultures and expertise.
