The Morava Corridor Motorway project, being undertaken by the Bechtel-ENKA JV, is progressing rapidly and will provide a vital link between Central Serbia and the Pan-European Corridors 10 and 11.ar
The project involves a 112.4 km dual-carriageway motorway divided into three sectors, extending from Pojate and the A1 motorway, through Kruševac, to Preljina in the north of Čačak.
As of mid-August, the project has completed 56.1 million m³ of excavation, 24 million m³ of fill, 885,000 m³ of concrete works, 1.8 million m³ of sub-base, and 1.2 million tons of asphalt. A total of 100.3 km of the motorway has been opened to traffic. More than 2,300 employees, including subcontractors, are currently working on the project.
Work on the 12.1 km section between Vrba and Adrani is progressing, bringing the project closer to its final milestone. With this section scheduled for completion by the end of 2026, the project remains on track for delivery as one of Serbia’s most significant infrastructure developments.
Since the start of the project, 59 million person-hours have been worked, including 19.5 million person-hours without LTI.
