The overall progress of ENKA’s Nassau Cruise Port Maritime Works project in the Bahamas has reached 61% and the progress in construction works has reached 42%. As per the ENKA Sustainability Policy, which gives priority to local employment in projects, 222 local employees have been hired in the project and all necessary resources have been allocated for their technical development.
The total hours of training on occupational safety and health provided to local employees has exceeded 600 person-hours in the project. In addition to induction trainings, this number also includes technical trainings such as working at height, safe lifting operations, spill response, firefighting and environmental protection. By providing technical HSE trainings, it is ensured that our local employees obtain awareness and increase their technical ability on occupational health, safety and environmental issues.
