The overall progress of the Umm Qasr BMT Container Terminal Yard 5, Quay Wall & Marine Works Project reached 77.51%

ENKA’s Umm Qasr Basra Multi-purpose Terminal, Container Terminal Yard 5, Quay Wall & Marine Works project in Iraq is progressing at full speed.

As of 9th of February, 2020, the project reached a total completion rate of 77.51%. 3401 precast concrete blocks including U-Shape blocks have been fabricated and 2,590 of these blocks have been installed on their locations.

As of February 4^th, 2020, leveling concrete works have commenced on the sections where the preloading activity completed successfully and U-Shape block placement have commenced on February 8^th, 2020.

In addition to these, preloading of the first 109 meters of Quay Wall has completed. As of February 9^th, 2020, progress of sand filling works have reached a total completion rate of 25.09% and crushed rock placement works have reached a total completion rate of 68.83%.
