Having completed its 52nd year since its establishment in 1973, ENKA’s subsidiary Çimtaş also marked a quarter-century in wind tower production this year, a sector it pioneered in Türkiye in 1999.
Throughout 2024, more than a hundred wind towers were produced in the production line, destined for both domestic and international markets. In total, 508 sections and 32,148 tons of production were realized, contributing to the generation of more than 480 MW of renewable energy. This contribution is equivalent to the absorption of 650,000 tons of CO₂ by approximately 100,000 trees in one year, compared to non-renewable energy sources.
A significant portion of this year’s production was part of Renewable Energy Resource Areas (YEKA) projects, organized to support local production and ensure technological localization.
With 25 years of expertise in the wind energy sector, Çimtaş has established itself as a key player in the global supply chain. The company continues to work for the production of different product groups to make them production hub in Türkiye.
