ENKA’s Prince George Wharf marine works at Nassau Cruise Port, Bahamas is progressing at full speed. As of August 15th, 2021, the construction progress at the project has reached up to 58.94% and overall progress has reached 72.62% in the marine works.
As of August 7th, 2021, the dredging, a critical activity of the project, has been completed. Approximately 201,651 cubic yards have been dredged successfully in 2 weeks for the new Oasis-class berth and new mega yacht berth. The dredging and rehabilitation works at the Prince George Wharf will allow accommodation for Dream class vessels. ENKA has conducted all its operations in compliance with the environmental regulations of the DEPP (Department of Environmental Protection and Planning) during the dredging works. Excess dredged material has been donated to New Providence Ecology Park.
Fabrication works of precast beams is continuing at the East and West Marina. Installation works of precast beams and panels have reached 27% for the new Cruise Pier. The renovation of the existing Cruise Piers is continued and these construction works have been carried out while providing access to cruise ships simultaneously without any interruption to operation.
