Between 1980-1982,  ENKA-Balfour Beatty Construction Ltd. (United Kindom) JV executed the construction of the Arab Potash Potassium Refinery to produce  1,200,000 tons of potassium yearly by exploiting the minerals of “Dead Sea” lake and related facilities such as housing compound, 17 MW power plant, evaporation pool.

Additionally, ENKA-Balfour Beatty Construction Ltd. JV undertook the construction of Arab Potash Refinery Screening & Compaction Plant of the potassium refinery including all infrastructure work as well between 1981-1982.

Arab Potash Potassium Refinery: all civil works, design, fabrication and erection of steel structure works related with all processing units and administration buildings and roads.

Refinery Screening & Compaction Plant: all infrastructure work as well.
